Like most average guys, I’ve worked at a J.O.B. most of my adult life. I spent eleven years in the construction industry which I left in 1985 due to the recession at that time.
Since then I’ve mostly worked around computers, starting with IBM mainframes and then graduating to PC’s which I used while employed as a Technical Writer at Tollycraft Yacht Corp. in Kelso Washington.
My wife Harriet and I have been married 23 wonderful years. We live in mostly rainy Portland Oregon with our two female cats, “Smokey” and “Bandit”. bill

While I tend to focus mostly on passive income type programs, where things like recruiting and advertising to make money are optional and not required, I also market a few products that can lend themselves to recruiting…so there’s something for everyone here!
I strongly believe in creating multiple streams of income… that way, if any of them dry up, it’s no big deal… we’ll still be able to pay the bills… AND feed the kitty! bill
Over 33 years ago, I began my own home-based business as a distributor for a well-known direct sales company. I won’t mention the company’s name but it’s known world-wide with the possible exception of the third-world countries. bill
I soon found out that all I really owned was a full-time job disguised as a business…
Not enough hours in the week. I learned that you still can’t trade hours for dollars and at the same time, get ahead.
That equation works against you, so I decided to educate myself and find out how to leverage my time and money using the internet.
There’s no magic to what I do or what I’ve accomplished. I just keep an open mind, educate myself and try lots of things. Some work out, some don’t. bill

My guess is that if you’re still reading this, you’ve probably had some experience with a “home business” before. And for most of us, it wasn’t a positive one… am I right?
Like me, you’ve probably wasted time and money struggling to figure out how to succeed with your own business, or even if it was possible in the first place.
Well, not only is it possible for ANYONE to make money online, I’ll do my best to point you in the right direction and help you see how this can become a reality for you.
But before we talk about that, I want to mention that one thing you’ll notice here is, this isn’t some cookie cutter website that looks like all the rest out there.
It’s unique, because it’s about ME, and not some stale, characterless and uninspiring Biz Op site (which happens to be the vast majority).
So… even though this is still a WEBSITE, I’m gonna tell you a lot about who I am as a person. The reason I do this is because I’m a servant leader who wants to help people like you succeed on (and off ) the internet with your own home-based business.
The more you know about me, the more you’ll understand that doing business with me will help you succeed in realizing your goals.
By the way, if you find someone really interesting and down to earth, doesn’t it make it easier to contact them? You already pretty much feel like you know them! This is why this online relationship-building strategy will work for you as it does for me.
Born in Portland Oregon
I was born in rainy Portland Oregon. I come from an average, middle-class background. During my young adult years, I made my way through several career choices. Guess you could say I was “looking for my niche” in life.
Here’s what I looked like during the ‘radical 60’s era while living as a beach bum in Hawaii:

I’m the second oldest of three children and my wife, Harriet and I live in a suburb of Portland known as Happy Valley. We’re only a three hour drive from the Pacific ocean which we try to get to at least two or three times each year.
Harriet was born in Minot, North Dakota and immigrated to the U.S. in 1990 (just kidding….)
Life experience has taught me that the universe will give you exactly what you expect and attract –
Harriet and I met in 1986. It was literally “Barefoot In The Park”. We met at the Portland Youth Philharmonic’s Waterfront Classic Concert. Barefoot was putting it mildly….I was wearing jean cutoff’s and clutching a liter of wine cooler. It was a hot day!
Harriet’s the best thing that ever happened to me!
When two Soul Mates meet, it’s truly magical and that’s how I feel about her, she’s the love of my life. There’s a perfect fit… You know it… You feel it in your gut. There are no words that can describe it.
Unless you’ve experienced this yourself (and we hope you have), you wouldn’t understand when we say it feels as if we’ve known each other for a lifetime
And even though we’re both from two very different parts of the country, we share the same philosophy about life. When we met, we instantly connected on so many levels –
spiritually, emotionally, physically and philosophically
…..ok….maybe not about Harley Davidson motorcycles (I rode for 16 years during my wanderlust years).
We share the same values. The same work ethic. The same goals. The same views about our spiritual growth, humanity and family. And above all, we both love to help others and have fun. bill
Harriet was a Registered Nurse in the Family Birth Center at Emanuel Hospital where I was born incidentally. (She claims not to have been on duty at the time of my birth!)
I truly cherish every day I can share with her. Harriet has been with me through the tough financial times when we were struggling to make ends meet, and now the good ones where we don’t have to worry about bills anymore. bill
We had both learned similar lessons in life, and both had to deal with personal setbacks that could have prevented us from realizing our dreams, but we never gave up, and now we’re just enjoying the ride.
Harriet is very fond of our Siamese cat, Laptop.
She’s the queen of the household… she’s the boss! We both feel that animals share our planet as equals.
They teach us unconditional love everyday so we’re blessed to have them in our lives. bill
I don’t know about you, but I believe there’s no better way to get to know someone than to see them with the people they love, doing the things they enjoy!
And I think a big part of someone getting to know you is to find out more about where you live, what you do, and what’s important to you.
Time is our most precious commodity. It’s the one thing we can’t get back once it’s gone. Sometimes, just sometimes, we all need that reminder. To Harriet and me, nothing is more important than spending quality time with our family and friends.
My mechanical inclination started when I a kid. I always enjoyed taking things apart to see how they worked. I especially liked taking clocks apart but I always seemed to wind up with extra parts though after putting them back together!
In my junior year in high school, I decided that I wanted to quit this boring existence sponsored by my State’s higher education department… so, at the tender age of 17, I enlisted in the U.S. Navy.
My hope was to become a Navy Frogman. That was in the days before the Navy Seals were formed. “Nope….not gonnna happen dude”, they told me.
My test scores indicated a high technical potential so they shipped me off to Sonar School in Key West Florida.
Well….as it turned out….it quickly became obvious to all that Bill Montgomery was not destined for ‘anything technical’…at least not yet!
So….after three horrid months of Sonar School, I flunked out big time and spent the next 18 months in French Morocco as an aircraft director for the Military Air Transport Service. bill
Looking back, it’s really funny, because the first thing I did when I got out of the Navy was to go back to school and study ‘all things technical’….or electronics to be more precise.
I also realized early on that I couldn’t work for anyone else, so being my own boss was the only logical choice for me.
In October of 1974, I began looking for ways to supplement my income. Network Marketing was my answer at that time.
I attended my first opportunity meeting in my sponsor’s living room and got hooked up with a company called Amway. You may have heard of it….
To be perfectly honest, I spent the first couple years running between mad and frustrated. Like most, I failed many times, but managed to finally make a few bucks along the way, mainly because I was just too stubborn to quit. bill
Don‘t get me wrong, MLM is a great industry within the free enterprise system, but I also know that in order to succeed, you’ve got to first learn how to effectively market yourself.
Even though I failed in more than a few programs over the years, as I said, I’ve also had some success.
Hobbies and Interests bill
I suppose that I’m not your typical guy with common typical hobbies or interests like golf or hunting or fishing. In 2005, I took the plunge (pun intended) and took up SCUBA diving. Less than 1% of 1% of the population has ever tried SCUBA diving. It’s a pretty small niche sport.

Harriet likes to read and Crochet. We’re also into hiking, personal development, cooking, technology, health and fitness and music. I like Reggae and Jazz, we both like Classical. bill
We’re both big-time chocoholics. The Dark chocolate variety. Yep, leave me on a stranded island with a boatload of dark chocolate and I’ll be just fine. ;o)
We also love taking local weekend vacations and getaways to the beach. bill
Spending a weekend in a little bed and breakfast or just getting out of town for the day to enjoy a change of scenery and some fresh air is right up our alley. We enjoy hiking the nature trails, and riding our bikes… it’s great exercise, and a lot of fun.
Traveling is one of the many “perks” of owning an International home-based business, and having both the financial freedom and the time freedom to just get up and go when we want feels great.
By the way, if you haven’t read it, I highly suggest you pick up and read ‘Rich Dad, Poor Dad’ by Robert T. Kiyosaki. Great read.
